Plants in Toronto: Allan Gardens

Welcome to Allan Gardens, a pictorial guide to the plants.

This web site is a photo documentary of the plants, by room in the greenhouses. I'd guess there's 700–1000 different species there. So far I've made guesses for about 250 of them and I've some 750 pictures that need identification. Stay tuned!

This is a work in progress, with lots of guesses. Any help in proofing the 'named' column and in identifying plants in the 'in progress' column will be greatly appreciated.

Web site navigation will be crude for a while as the initial focus is on naming the plants and taking better photographs. Eventually plant families and some indexes by features such as colour will be incorporated.
